Eyebrow arches are as easy as 1-2-3!

Note: For jambs larger than 3-1/2 inches, DO NOT SPLIT ARCH until you've done steps 1 and 2.

1

Step 1

Use a square to mark a line a short distance from one end of the eyebrow. Set your circular saw to the proper angle for the size of eyebrow (see the table at right). Cut along the line, making sure your saw blade is tilted inward as shown.

2

Step 1

Measure across the width of the rough opening, then transfer that measurement to the arch and make another square line. Using the same degree setting, cut along that line.

3

Step 1

Slide the arch into the opening. Make sure that both ends measure down equally on both sides, then screw in place.

Versatility & Simplicity

Ceiling framed with Arch-It arches

Even for a complex installation — such as this two-level ceiling treatment in a room with an arched opening — Arch-It makes framing-in a snap. (This happens to be a shot of an early stage of the dining room on the home page.)
